Another week of unsettled weather, especially tomorrow, June 9, is forecast for the Eastern Sierra, with potentially strong thunderstorms, possible hail, and possible electric storms Tuesday, then more rain and/or unsettled cloudy weather Wednesday, before a slightly dryer pattern sets in for the remainder of the week. High country hikers should take precautions, according to the National Weather Service and avoid high passes and exposed areas during the storm. After that, it will be warm—10 to 12 degrees above average, according to the NWS; temperatures that are expected to last into the weekend before possibly cooler weather next week.
