The Weather This Week; Dry, Sunny, Cool

Staff Writer

After an unexpectedly wet weekend, where as much as two inches of rain fell in some parts of the Eastern Sierra, the week ahead will be much drier and windy enough to concern fire fighters up and down the Sierra, according to the National Weather Service. The gusty winds will rapidly dry the region out, and any spark could trigger a fire very quickly, the NWS said today, June 13. The good news is the temperatures will remain below or at normal, instead of the record high temperatures last week.
