Cooler temperatures and gusty winds and a Red Flag Warning for fire danger on Saturday and into Sunday, Aug. 29-Aug. 30, are in the forecast this weekend, along with more smoke from the Rough Fire. According to the National Weather Service, winds could gust up to 85 miles per hour on the Sierra ridge tops Saturday evening and into Sunday morning, making it best to batten down outdoor furniture and take precautions on lakes. The wind will be coming mostly from the southwest, likely picking up more smoke from the still-growing and very active Rough Fire, now at 60,000 acres. Here's a more detailed look at the forecast:
