The Tioga Pass Road was scheduled to the Yosemite National Park entrance gate today, Friday, April 29, but it will not open today due to a forecast for more snow over the next few days, according to Caltrans.

"Due to storm activity, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has decided to postpone the opening of the lower gate on State Route 120 west to the Yosemite National Park entrance," Caltrans stated in a news release. "Caltrans will reassess the weather and road conditions next week to determine if the highway is safe for the traveling public. For the latest highway information please visit the Caltrans QuickMap site at quickmap.dot.ca.gov or call the Road Condition Hotline at 1-800-427-ROAD (7623)."
