Fish and Game Commission meets today

The Fish and Game Commission will be meeting in Mammoth Lakes from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. today, Thursday June 11 to discuss terrestrial issues. The commission met yesterday, Wednesday, June 10, to discuss marine issues.
The meeting will be held at the Mountainside Conference Center at the Main Lodge, 1 Minaret Road.

At the same meeting, the commission will take comments on the Bobcat Protection Act of 2013, which is designed to take action to reduce the impact of commercial trapping on California bobcats. Bobcats can now be legally trapped in Mono and Inyo counties for the value of their fur,
California Fish and Game Commission will choose between a statewide ban on commercial trapping, a moratorium, or zonal bans around national and state parks.
