Missing teen update

Amber Woolwine, 16, of Wofford Heights, was thought to be in the Sierra Backcountry. She was recently spotted shopping in Valencia. Anyone who may come across the teenager is asked to contact authorities immediately.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has released an update on Amber Woolwine, 16, of Wofford Heights, a missing teenager who was thought to be in the Sierra Backcountry.
Woolwine has been missing since June 11. Detectives have said, based on evidence obtained during the investigation that Woolwine may be traveling with 47-year-old Max Kozak, although detectives have said that Kozak may be an alias and his real name is unknown.

Video surveillance obtained from a shopping center in Valencia has been released which shows Woolwine and Kozak together. The photos also reveal that Kozak has grown a goatee while Woolwine’s hair has been dyed a dark brown. The vehicle they are using may be a white Dodge pickup with California license plate number 8933MA.
