'Chasing Ice' film, USFS Welcome Center Auditorium, Mammoth Lakes, April 28
Join the Mono County Office of Education for a showing of “Chasing Ice” at the United States Forestry Service Welcome Center Auditorium. From the Academy-Award winning producer of “The Cove,” “Chasing Ice” explores one man's effort to document the Arctic's rapidly changing glaciers. The Mad Hatter's Tea Fundraiser, Sierra Center, Mammoth Lakes, April 30
The community is invited to fall down the rabbit hole for an afternoon of curated tea, curious concoctions, and creative millinery, sponsored by Kathleen Rudder. The fundraiser will last from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, and will feature a silent auction, a light luncheon, musical entertainment by students from the Felici Trio, and flavorful teas. Music Unbound presents The Felici Piano Trio, guest Corey Cerovsek, May 7
A guest musician will be playing the violin with the Felici Piano Trio in a concert entitled, “Super-Heroes,” with music by Dvorák, Prokofiev and Beethoven (his explosive “Eroica” Symphony arranged for piano quartet). The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Cerro Coso College.
