In this week's Mammoth Times

In trying to answer all the questions involving Mammoth’s Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) fees, we sent intrepid reporter Lyra Pierotti into the field for a report.

When she came back, she had just as many new questions as answers. The story of her journey into the murky world of Mammoth’s municipal finance is on the cover.

Also on the cover is a terrific submitted photograph from one of our local snowmobilers, who sought adventure on Sonora Pass and found loads of it. We tell you where the best sledding is on the Eastside.

There is a ton of stuff in this week’s issue, including an inserted copy of our 64-page, 2014 Sierra Menus, the better to help you navigate the restaurants and bars during the three-day Presidents Day Weekend.

That, plus our usual features such as the "Our View" editorial, is on news racks now for 50 cents a copy.

An E-Edition version, in PDF format, is available for the same single-issue paper price of 50 cents, along with a subscription offer that includes discount options.

Have a great week, everybody, and we'll touch base again on Feb. 20 with a new edition of the Mammoth Times.
