RAW: Two found dead in Bishop residence, officials seek more information

At approximately 12:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, Inyo County Sheriff’s Investigators received notification of two deceased bodies in a home on Pa-Ha Lane, Bishop. Inyo County Coroner, Leon Brune has released the following names: Helena Spratt, an 18 year old Bishop woman; and Chase Tague, a 27 year old Bishop man. The bodies were discovered by a neighbor.

There were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play. An autopsy will take place to determine the cause of death. Assisting in the investigation are Bishop Tribal Police, Inyo County District Attorney, and Inyo County Sheriff’s Investigators.

“This is a tragic event for the families of the deceased and the community,” stated Sheriff Bill Lutze. “Anyone with any information is asked to please come forward, you may stay anonymous.”
