Staff Writer

Drivers and travelers, be ware; a major winter storm will begin to affect the Eastern Sierra Friday afternoon, Jan. 29. The storm will continue to affect the area until Sunday, dropping as much as three feet of snow at the higher elevations of the Sierra Crest. Although the NWS said certainty is low as to how much snow will fall where, they rate the degree of certainty high that the storm will create travel difficulties for most of the weekend, before exiting the area Sunday. — WG
