Historical talk, Mono Basin

“The Life and Times of Norm DeChambeau” will be the slide program at the Monday, Jan. 6 meeting of the Mono Basin Historical Society, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Lee Vining Community Center with a potluck dinner followed by the business meeting at 6:45 p.m. and the free program at 7:30 p.m. Long-time resident Norm Dechambeau has family ties to the Mono Basin that go back to the pioneer ranches and he has served as historian, curator, and President of the Historical Society.

The meeting is at the Lee Vining Community Center on Mattley Avenue, not far from the Mono Basin History Museum/Old Schoolhouse and world -famous Upside-down House, which are operated from May through October by the non-profit Historical Society.
