Hennarty resigns housing post
Joins Inyo County as Deputy CAO
Pam Hennarty, who since 2004 has led the push for affordable housing in Mammoth, announced her resignation as Executive Director of Mammoth Lakes Housing, Inc, effective April 12.
Hennarty made the announcement at the March 11 MLH Board of Directors meeting, and iterated her announcement at the Mammoth Town Council meeting on Wednesday, March 20.
“It was a very difficult decision to leave Mammoth Lakes Housing,” she said. “This organization has been home to me for many years. Providing safe, decent, affordable homes to the people who serve our community has been an honor.”
She said she will join Inyo County as Senior Deputy County Administrator.
Hennarty joined Mammoth Lakes Housing in 2004 as a Project Manager overseeing the construction of the nonprofit’s first four workforce housing developments.
In 2007, Hennarty was appointed as executive director, helping lead the organization in increasing affordable housing opportunities in Mammoth, Mono County, and Bishop.
In addition to building new units, MLH offers programs including Down Payment Assistance Loans, the acquisition and rehabilitation of existing housing stock, as well as the successful completion of an additional development project.
