'Gatsby' bash at Canyon Lodge; April 11 Mammoth Mountain Foundation fundraiser

March 25, 2014

This year, the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation is going all Gatsby.

OK, so maybe Leonardo DiCaprio might have something else to do that night, April 11 at 7 p.m., but even so, this party ought to be, um, fun.

Between the skiing, snowboarding and other goings-on on the ski hill during the Mammoth Invitational fundraising weekend on Mammoth Mountain, organizers will introduce a Gatsby theme into the third annual Canyon Royale Casino Night Fundraiser.

The prices are Gatsby-esque, too, at $100 each, but for that, guests can hang out with Olympians Kelly Clark, Stacey Cook, and John Teller.

Tickets can be purchased in advance through mammothfoundation.org and include food, two drinks, funny money for gambling, big-band dancing and entertainment, an auction, and a poker tournament.

The event, the foundation’s signature fundraiser of the year, supports youth athletic and education programs in the Eastern Sierra.
