Fatality on U.S. 395

A motorcyclist from Reno died Sunday afternoon after a traffic collision on U.S. Highway 395 north of Bishop.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released pending notification of next of kin, was traveling southbound in the number two lane at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday. As he or she approached the intersection of Pine Creek Road, Amy Grevedutton, 43, of Bishop, was traveling westbound on Pine Creek Road in a 2005 Nissan Armada.
“For unknown reasons, Grevedutton failed to observe the motorcyclist traveling southbound on U.S. 395 as she traveled through the intersection,” a press release from the CHP states. “Subsequently, a broadside traffic collision between the two vehicles occurred. The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.”
