According to Yosemite National Park, Tioga Road in Yosemite National Park will open for the season at noon tomorrow, Friday, May 2. All facilities along the road, such as rest rooms, are still closed.
Vault toilets are available in several locations along the road. Limited visitor services will be available over the next several weeks.
The May 2 date is the earliest Tioga Road opening since records were kept, beginning in 1980, according to park data.

An eleven-year-old Mammoth girl was offered a ride by an unknown male suspect on Tuesday, April 29 while she was walking home from the public library on Meridian Boulevard. She declined the ride and the man drove away without getting out of the car or touching the girl. Police are looking for any information about the incident.
