Mammoth High School graduate receives praise
Ryan Davis, a 2006 Mammoth High School graduate, was deployed to Afghanistan in September 2011 as a Navy corpsman stationed with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines from 29 Palms, Calif.
A nine-year-old Chalfant boy called 911 late last week to alert law enforcement that a man had broken into his home and was threatening his mother, according to Mono County Sheriff’s officials.
Michael Raimondo running for Town Council
Michael Raimondo, owner of Old New York Deli & Bagel Co. in the Village, is running for Town Council. He pulled the papers this week.

Mammoth resident John Stavlo was appointed to a Mammoth Unified School District vacancy on Feb. 23. The vacancy was left after former board member Dr. Andrew Bourne resigned from the position in January.
The Inyo National Forest, Mammoth Ranger District, is soliciting comments on a proposed project to remove wind-fallen trees from Reds Meadow Valley.
