Snow is on the way this week, possibly beginning Tuesday and lasting into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
“A moist Pacific storm will move into the Sierra and western Nevada Tuesday and last into Thursday with periods of light rain and high elevation snow,” tonight’s NWS forecast (Monday, Nov.18) states. “Despite being weak, the storms will have plenty of moisture to work with.”
However, the bulk of the moisture will likely be north of Mono County, the forecast states, although that could change.
Evan Russell, CEO and President of Mammoth Lakes Foundation, announced the hiring of long-time resident Greg Bissonette as its new Director of Developmen this week.
“We are very excited to have Greg join our team,” Russell said in a news release Monday, Nov. 18. “He brings a proven commitment to the community and the Foundation. We are confident that Greg’s addition to an already outstanding group of dedicated staff will make our work even more impressive as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Foundation in 2014.”
