Mammoth Hospital announced the opening of a newly renovated and redesigned Chemotherapy Infusion Center, to facilitate access to cancer care services in the Eastern Sierra.
The new chemotherapy center was made possible by donations from Dave and Roma McCoy, as well as Medical Imaging Director, Dr. Yuri Parisky in collaboration with Dancing with the Docs.
Interior designer Nicole Cavanaugh of Cavanaugh Design Group and Nancy Ballard, Executive Director of Rooms That Rock 4 Chemo volunteered their time to bring the outdated room to life.
The Mono County Board of Supervisors recently passed a “Limited Density Owner Built Rural Dwellings,” ordinance which allows “for the legal construction of seasonally or permanently occupied residential dwellings located in rural areas and that are solely occupied as the residence of the owner or the owner’s family.”
Mammoth Hospital achieved national accreditation from DNV Healthcare, the only hospital accreditation program approved by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that integrates the ISO 9001 Quality Management System with the Medicare Conditions of Participation.
DNV’s National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO) accreditation program requires hospitals to evaluate the continuum of patient care throughout its facilities and take measured steps to improve when it is warranted.
