Broadband internet services no longer available to new customers

There is no longer any more broadband Internet cable service available for new customers in Mono County, although there are a few options for some customers.
 
Suddenlink and Verizon confirmed that they are “at capacity” as of late December.
 

Parties agree to $263 million value for Mammoth Mountain

After seven years of negotiations, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and Mono County have agreed to an assessed value for the ski area—$263 million.
 
“After days of intense deliberation, the parties agreed to $263 million,” Mono County Assessor Jody Henning told the board Tuesday.

It offered endurance athletes a chance to come up to Mammoth and train for whatever sport they were into.
 

Mammoth Unified to appoint new school board member

Mammoth Unified School District has taken the first step to fill the school board vacancy left by Dr. Andrew Bourne’s resignation and death and will point a new board member by Feb. 23, according to the district.
 
The board met this week on Tuesday, and agreed that it would be better to appoint a new board member as opposed to holding an expensive special election.
